The biggest coffee afternoon.

We had a coffee afternoon in the hall to raise money for people who have cancer.

We had hot chocolate, blackcurrant or orange juice to drink.  There were loads of cakes to eat .

Making bread

We made olive oil bread with cheese and fennel.

We put the dough into plastic bags to knead it.

Christmas Cards

We did some painting with our fingers.  Some of us are going to get them printed for Chrismas cards.

We are doing them this early because we have to send them away to the printers.

Blackcurrant ice cream

We started by washing our hands to get the germs off them.

We followed a recipe to make our ice cream.



We made a second batch with raspberries instead of blackcurrants.

It was nice.

This term we are learning about Italian cookery.
Italian people like ice cream.
In Italy it is called gelato.
Last week we made ice cream sundaes.

 

Next lesson we are going to make our own ice cream.
